Photoluminescent plush vs printed glow vs EL wire
Photoluminescent plush glows from the pile itself. Printed glow sits on a surface. EL wire and LEDs need power. Product teams choose by hand-feel, wash, and whether the glow must survive cutting and sewing.
For stuffed toys and pet plush, photoluminescent pile is usually the starting point because the whole surface can glow without inserting a light. Printed glow is a graphic treatment. EL wire and LEDs are lighting components. They are not interchangeable.
